Danny moves to Las Vegas in January 2008, shortly after the events of "Child's Play". Over the holidays, he found himself ridden with guilt for a mother who had trusted him with her son, only to have him return with nothing. He visited her once, and saw Christmas presents that would never be opened lying in the corner.
He brings with him his girlfriend, Lindsay Monroe, who despite her love of the city agreed to leave for not only her relationship, but shady parts of her past.
Shortly after moving in to their new home, Don Flack followed them with his young nephew, Luke. During this time, Danny realized that his relationship with Lindsay was not something he felt was going to work in the long run. She wanted kids, he didn't. He felt like he ran to fast from his problems, and he needs time to sort them out. Lindsay has left, whereabouts unknown, and Danny, Don, and Luke now live in the townhouse.
In April/May of 2008, Danny won an undisclosed amount of money, and lives in his townhouse alone, since Don has moved back to New York.
